On November 8 and 9, the 16th "Automotive Interior" conference will take place in Regensburg this year. imat-uve is an exhibitor and presents a selection of innovative materials from the materials library as well as development projects.

Under the headline "Automotive Interiors in the Mobility of the Future", the participants of the conference will receive interesting insights into tomorrow's mobility concepts. OEMs, such as Daimler, Bentley, BMW, as well as supplier companies presented their visions, but also specific models for the future.

The first day of the conference focused on the future requirements for cars and the development of the interior. In terms of user behavior, autonomous driving and the associated new possibilities for the design of the interior were in focus. In addition to new concepts for the adaptive interior, safety issues were also discussed. Here, too, the requirements will change if the human being no longer has total control over driving. In addition to the expert lectures, the concept car "OASIS" was presented live by Rinspeed AG on the first day of the conference. In addition, the participants were able to find interior solutions such as lighting and sensor technology as well as materials in the accompanying exhibition.

In the afternoon the excursion to the production site of Yanfeng Automotive in Neustadt a.d. Donau was another highlight. During the tour round the supplier's factory, the participants were able to witness how the door panels for the BMW 3 Series and 5 Series are manufactured. The modern production line is equipped with 170 independent process plants and 75 robot systems.

In the evening, the first day of the conference got to a successful end with a cozy get-together, where all participants could discuss the topics of the day again more deeply.
