Written by imat-uve | Mar 16, 2021

Guests: Frans Beckers and Rens van den Boorn, FBBasic (The Netherlands)

The online talk "Recycling of mixed textile fibers - a system approach with FBBasic" kicks off our series of events along the project "Recycling the Future Automotive Interior", which is co-financed by the European Union, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the MWEIMH North Rhine Westfalia and the State Chancellery of Lower Saxony as part of the INTERREG Germany-Netherlands program.

The German-Dutch project partners include the Dutch company FBBasic, which focuses on the regeneration of raw materials and the creation of circular systems. In the webinar, representatives from FBBasic will show how to take a systematic approach to recycling used clothing as a valuable raw material for applications in the automotive industry.

In this session, you will learn all about:

  • The need for a system approach
  • Why radical changes in supply chains and business models are necessary
  • Practical examples and what we learned during the process
  • The production of high-value products from undefined and often poorly recyclable raw materials

We invite all participants to discuss the topic with us and ask questions after the presentation.

Who should attend?

  • Managers, engineers and employees from the fields of textile and material development, production and processing, raw material recycling
  • All interested parties from the textile and automotive industry as well as related industries

The talk will be held in English.
