imat-uve strategically expands worldwide testing partnership network
imat-uve establishes a new strategic division, which contributes significantly to securing the brand promises "competence, global standard and performance". Under the name "imat validation services - IVS", various expansion measures for the entire imat-uve group were recently launched. This supports the consistent implementation of the corporate strategy through the worldwide expansion and qualification of an external laboratory and partnership network. This will enable imat-uve to assure increased capacity and reliable adherence to schedules to clients in the field of testing on a global level.
IVS will be introduced as a functional area at every imat-uve site and also the Logistic Hubs, “IVS Hub" in the future, will be affiliated to it, be built up, and expanded accordingly. With the implementation and introduction of IVS, the functional areas of sample logistics, sample preparation and strategic purchasing of external services will be combined in the IVS hub.
Since July 1, Karlheinz Salzer has headed the global "IVS" business unit and reports as "Chief Strategy Officer IVS - Strategic Partnerships and Procurement" to the Management Board. Salzer will align the requirements and objectives with the regional management teams within the imat-uve group. He is also responsible for the strategic expansion of a global partnership network. He has many years of management experience in the automotive industry and was most recently Director OEM Programs at competitor Intertek, where he was responsible for the global development of competence centers and their approval by automotive manufacturers.
