imat-uve optimises work processes with wearables in project LOGwear

Written by imat-uve | Sep 28, 2016

The project "LOGwear - Use of wearables to optimise logistical processes" is intended to give SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) the opportunity to profit from innovations through portable electronic devices (wearables). The project is designed to examine how SMEs can optimise their processes by using wearables. imat-uve is participating as a company partner in the study in order to be able to also benefit from innovative developments and to improve the daily work processes. Within the framework of this INTERREG project, the Fontys University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Logistics in Venlo and the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences are cooperating with the companies Helmut Beyers GmbH (Mönchengladbach), KLG Europe B.V. Venlo and the imat-uve gmbh (Mönchengladbach).

The aim is to give the company an initial assessment of the extent to which its own processes can be improved with wearables by means of an online tool. It also provides support for the implementation of a wearable solution.

The LOGWARE project is carried out within the framework of the INTERREG program Germany-Netherlands and co-finances around € 1.1 million through the European Union, MWEIMH NRW and the province of Limburg.
