imat-uve presents results at the workshop "Odour and emissions of plastics" in Kassel/Germany
On March 21 and 22, 2017, the 19th workshop „Odor and emissions of plastics" takes place at Kassel University.
The two days are a good opportunity for experts to talk about the latest developments and ideas concerning the reduction of emissions as well as test methods and standards.
imat-uve is again attending as a memnber of the program board and is also presenting two professional lectures.
On day one Dr. Michael Holzwarth, Head of Lab and Senior Manager VIAQ, VOC, Odor at imat-uve, presented in collaboration with David Hera und Yan Li from Syft Technologies Ltd., a producer of test equipment, the topic of "Comparative determinations of VOC in emission tests using "Selected Ion Flow Tube MS" (SIFT-MS) versus conventional chromatographic analyzing methods applying GC/MS and HPLC" which did very well with the audience.
On the second day of the conference Leander Schweiger (imat-uve gmbh) speaks in cooperation with Dr.- Ing. Viola Sauer and Dipl.- Ing. Susanne Wolff from Kassel University about "Electroencephalography (EEG) supported Olfactometry – Current Methods and Future Applications". Part of this was a research project of imat-uve and Kassel University which analyzed the use of EEG means for olfactory tests on the seating comfort in cars.
