SAE-Webinar: Rapid VIAQ Analysis Using Direct Mass Spectrometry

imat-uve Oct 11, 2017 1 min read

Regulators and consumers demand increasingly lower levels of harmful volatile emissions in motor vehicle passenger cabins, pushing manufacturers toward more comprehensive testing – from raw materials to components to finished vehicles – to ensure conformance and avoid costly tear-out. However, conventional analytical technologies are expensive, complex, and slow, since they are based on chromatographic methods.

In the "Rapid Vehicle Interior Air Quality (VIAQ) Analysis Using Direct Mass Spectrometry" webinar of SAE International, the Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) introduces an innovative, industry-proven method which is an alternative to the usual test methods. Yan Li from Syft Technologies will explain the SIFT-MS method. Based on ISO 16000-series standards, imat has undertaken comparative studies. Our VIAQ expert Dr. Michael Holzwarth will report on the results of these studies in the webinar.

imat has many years of experience as a service provider and is constantly expanding its test portfolio. The company is a recognized expert in the field of interior emissions and holds approvals from many well-known automobile manufacturers.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 18 October 2017 at 10 am U.S. EDT.
